Albori Duo

The trio was formed in 2023 at Reggio Emilia and Castelnuovo Ne’ Monti’s conservatory “Peri-Merulo” during the Chamber Music course followed by Maestro Claudio Piastra.

The peculiarity of this formation lies in the union of different but not overwhelming timbres, capable of creating atmospheres and approaching musical genres of any kind. To emphasize this characteristic, the repertoire places its foundations on composers of the caliber of: G. Rossini, G. Verdi, N. Paganini, G. Faurè, C. Blume, D. Shostakovich. The group also writes their own arrangements, tailor-made for the musicians, following their desired musical intentions.

The group performed across all Italy and have won the following awards:

Formed at the Conservatorium Maastricht by flautist Ana Casero and guitarist Alice Hu, Albori Duo explores the diverse repertoire for flute and guitar through a refined and expressive approach that bridges classical and folk languages. The combination of flute and guitar offers a rich, versatile sound that can express both intimacy and brilliance creating a vivid dialogue between the two instruments.

The duo focuses on works rooted in Spanish, Italian, and Latin American traditions, performing both original repertoire for flute and guitar and their own arrangements. Beyond the concert stage, Albori Duo is committed to making music accessible to a wider and more diverse audience. They are currently developing projects that aim to bring classical music closer to new listeners, creating engaging programmes that highlight the expressive and cultural richness of their repertoire.
